Family Fun

Sorry I've been such a blog slacker lately. I thought I'd catch you up by telling you about the weekend I spent while Adam was in Utah.

Catie came into town that Friday. It's always good to see my nitdawg! We went to a wedding reception Friday evening and were able to spend time with some gals I grew up with. They live in Utah now, so it's been a couple of years since I've seen them. Let me tell you, it made me feel really old. It's crazy how "grown up" we all are.

Saturday was mostly a family day. We went out to eat with my mom and then Catie, Meredith, and I went to see a play, "Herman's a Hero," at the stake center. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but it was a pretty cute play.

Sunday, Catie helped me with my Sunbeam class. With Adam being gone, I don't know what I would've done without her! She was really good with the kids, and they were actually ok during opening exercises. However, when it came time to go to class, the craziness began! All I can say is "I survived!"

Catie brought Bella with her to Greensboro, of course, who isn't an itty bitty pup anymore. She's quite a bit more difficult to manage now. This is why I'm a cat person. She's still cute, though, as you can see in the pics below.

My Baby Comes Home

Yay, Adam comes home from Utah today! Technically I won't see him until Thursday morning, though. His plane doesn't arrive in Charlotte until 11 p.m. Oy! At least that'll give me some time to clean up the place.

I'm sure he'll bring many pics for me to post from his manly adventures, and you'll see why I had no desire to tag along.

Happy Birthday, Babe!

Today is Adam's birthday! Too bad he isn't in town to celebrate it with me. He left for Utah this morning and will be gone for 10 days! I started missing him before he even left.

At least I was able to make him a birthday cake on Saturday, and we celebrated with his family. I found a recipe for a cake made with strawberry yogurt, and I even made the cream cheese frosting. I figured that was up Adam's alley. I prefer mostly chocolate myself. It was very yummy, but the top layer kept trying to slide off the bottom layer (obviously because I didn't trim the top off the bottom layer, so it wasn't level). It's all good, though, as well as all gone!

Jasmine helped make Adam's cake...in her own special way.

Water balloon baseball! I watched from a distance.

Double Digits!

It's official! Less than 100 days until our little girl arrives! My pregnancy seemed slow at first, but now it feels as if it's flying by!

I know it's been awhile since I posted belly pics, so here they are! Starting from the upper left corner (from left to right) down to the bottom right corner: 18 weeks to 26 weeks.
